Some Tips for Self-Discipline

Mastering self-discipline is important because it will help you feel more in control of yourself, and you will feel a higher satisfaction when you accomplish what you set out to do.

  1. Do not wait to be in the perfect mood to do it.

  2. Limit most or all distractions.

  3. Don't waste time thinking about how you will do it-- just do it!

  4. Set realistic goals for yourself.

  5. Do not try to do everything at once, take things one step at a time.

  6. Do not be too hard/apply too much pressure on yourself.

  7. Keep in mind that sometimes you can't dwell on how to motivate yourself,
    you have to teach yourself how to work when lacking that motivation.

  8. Be confident in yourself and your abilities.

  9. Always remember that doing something is better than not trying at all.
    Five minutes of work is better than none.
